This is a practice they advised me to do when querying my novel A Curse in Ash. Sit down and think about your current work in progress for a moment.
What would your DREAM review look like? (Also, reviews are for readers not authors, we all know that...but lean into this, okay). If someone were to give you a glowing 5 star review, what do you hope they say? What do you want to stand out to them?
"The pacing kept me on the edge of my seat The characters lept off the page and I was immediately invested in them..."
Whatever it is you hope to hear from a reviewer... write that review for yourself!
